Gennie is a musician and music education consultant based in London. She has worked in a range of fields across orchestras and chamber ensembles, music theatre and community music as both a performer and leader around the UK. She has performed at many of the UK’s top venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, St John's Smith Square, London Jazz Festival, and on BBC Radio 3.
Gennie is also passionate about music facilitation, working with many organisations across London and further afield on creative music projects. With over ten years of experience in music education, Gennie is a qualified teacher with a wealth of skills and knowledge. She has a particular specialism in making music with children in the Early Years and people of all ages with SEND. Gennie is also the co-founder, writer, composer and actor-musician of Merryweather Theatre. Merryweather Theatre is a London-based arts collective which writes, develops and performs original folk musicals for children at schools, theatres and arts festivals around the UK.
