Gennie is a musician, facilitator and coach & mentor based in London. She has worked in a range of fields across orchestras and chamber ensembles, music theatre and community music as both a performer and leader around the UK.
As a musician, Gennie performs regularly with woodwind quartet soundSPARK, woodwind duo The Ashdown Duo and the creative ensemble Engines Orchestra, with whom she has recorded an award-winning album. She has performed at many of the UK’s top venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, St John's Smith Square, London Jazz Festival, and on BBC Radio 3.
Gennie is also passionate about music facilitation, working with many organisations across London and further afield on creative music projects. With over ten years of experience in music education, Gennie has a wealth of skills and knowledge, with a particular specialism in making music with children in the Early Years and people of all ages with SEND. Gennie is also the co-creator, composer and actor-musician in Evergreen, an interactive folk musical for children aged 5 to 8 years old.
