Gennie is a highly experienced music educator, consultant and leader, working with people of all ages across a wide range of settings. A qualified teacher, she supports arts organisations across the UK as an advisor, practitioner and coach, helping them design, deliver and sustain impactful projects around the UK.

PROJECT & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Gennie has worked with numerous organisations in project and people management roles. and is currently the Senior Leader for Kent Music. Central to the role is leading the development and delivery of several core programs, including school support, whole class instrumental tuition (MusicPlus), singing strategy, CPD, and a live performance offer for schools. Gennie also works in close partnership with schools, senior leaders, and education providers to design impactful training consultancy and performance opportunities.

CONSULTANT

Gennie enjoys her role as Educational & Community Engagement Trustee for Sinfonia Smith Square and was previously a School Governor at Robert Owen Nursery School in Greenwich from 2023-2025. She was also selected to be on the Advisory Board for the Music and Drama Education Expo in both 2024 and 2025.

CREATIVE EDUCATION DELIVERY

Gennie works as a Music Practitioner for Soundabout and The Amber Trust, working closely with children are young people with SEND and their families to use music as a tool of communication. From 2014-2021, Gennie worked as a primary music curriculum tutor for Southwark Music, planning and delivering music sessions in numerous schools across the borough. She also runs workshops and arts education programmes on a freelance basis with recent clients including National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Royal Society for Blind Children, Stratford Circus, and Yardarm Folk Orchestra.

Gennie works regularly as a freelance facilitator planning, delivering and evaluating training and facilitation sessions. Recent clients include National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Sound Connections and the University of Roehampton on its groundbreaking Music for Children with Special Abilities and Needs: Sounds of Intent PGCert degree, the only course of its kind in the world. Gennie is also a currently a moderator for the Awards and Certificates in Music Development for Trinity College London.
