Gennie enjoys her roles as Education & Community Engagement Trustee for Southbank Sinfonia and Co-opted School Governor at Robert Owen Nursery School.
Gennie is a Moderator for the 'Awards and Certificates in Musical Development' for Trinity College London.
Gennie is currently a mentor for Music Mark and Sound Connections, offering mentees support to deepen and develop their work, explore their professional needs and interests, and reflect on their practice.

Project and People Management
Gennie has worked with numerous organisations in project and people management roles. From 2020 to 2023, Gennie held the role of Subject Co-Ordinator (Curriculum, Early Years & SEND) for Southwark Music. This role included helping to oversee the curriculum partnership programme in the borough, planning, developing, and evaluating projects with partners and co-ordinating the Early Years and SEND provision of Southwark Music.
Gennie planned, managed and delivered a Soundabout music project in partnership with Lewisham Music and the South Riverside Music Partnership (SRMP), including music provision in a Lewisham primary school and delivery of a CPD programme for the SRMP.
Creative Education Delivery
Gennie works as a Music Practitioner for Soundabout and The Amber Trust, working closely with children and young people with SEND and their families to use music as a tool of communication. From 2014 to 2021, Gennie worked as a primary music curriculum tutor for Southwark Music, planning and delivering music sessions in numerous schools across the borough. Gennie also runs workshops and other education programmes on a freelance basis, with recent clients including National Youth Orchestra, Royal Society for Blind Children, Stratford Circus and Yardarm Folk Orchestra.
Gennie also works as a freelance facilitator, including planning, delivering and evaluating training sessions and facilitation sessions. Recent clients include Sound Connections, the University of Roehampton and South Riverside Music Partnership.
